2. Vekateshawara Swami temple: Located in Sannur village, it is probably the oldest temple in Thorrur mandal. The temple is constructed with carved stone, giving it an ancient appearance.

Besides the temples, there is mosque and a church too.

There are several villages in Thorrur mandal. Each village has its own Grampanchayat with a surpunch.

Transportation
The only means of transportation to thourrur is by road. There is no railway statation or airport. APSRTC buses connect Thorrur to important surrounding cities/towns like Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam and Mahabubabad etc. In addition, buses connect surrounding villages to Thorrur as well. For reaching Thorrur by railways nearest railway stations are, Warangal, Mahabubabad or Khammam depending on the travel route taken.
Nearest airport is Hyderabad International Airport. From Hyderabad buses run to Thorrur directly from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station also called Imlibun bus station. Another convenient way of reaching Thorrur from Hyderabad is to take a bus or train to Warangal/Hanamkonda and taking a bus from there to Thorrur.
Thorrur has a APSRTC bus depot and is considered the most profitable bus depot in Warangal dist.
